Oh Tannebaum

I asked Dan to stop at Wal-Mart on his way home yesterday to get our Christmas Tree, which is where we have gotten our tree the past several years (gasp!). He brought home a gorgeous 8 foot Douglas Fir for $35. As we were listening to Christmas music, our little bubba fast asleep upstairs, Dan told me he was putting his foot down as something fell out of the tree. What do you ask? What used to be a bird nest with a dead mouse in it. Thank goodness he found it or we quite possibly could have had a tax deduction this year with the early arrival of a new baby. I tried to tell him that could happen anywhere but he wouldn't have it and insisted we are cutting our own next year. We'll see...

A mouse in your tree! Oh, dear. I'm so glad you found it.

Trust me, the preemie route is not recommended... Maybe next time have Murph and Finn do a security sweep before you bring the tree in the house. Yikes!

Merry Christmas!
