Tumbing Fun with Finnegan

We took Finn and Murph for a walk this am. They were tuckered out when we got back which made it all the better for me! Finn was too tired to move when I climbed, pulled, tumbled over him. He sure has proven himself to be a patient Chocolate Lab.

Playing with my friend Braxton

Sometimes I don't know my own strength! Sorry Braxton!

Pigs, Goats, and Sheeps! Oh My!

Wow, I have had a busy weekend and it is only Saturday afternoon! My friend, Ella, had her 3rd b-day party today. She had a petting zoo in her backyard! There were lots of animals to pet, Mom liked the pigs the best

but they sure did squeal when she held them!

Another trip to Picture People?

Dad is romping in Las Vegas with Grandpa Venzke so Mom and I have been hanging out. I went to work with her today and then I had a date at the mall with my girlfriend, Hannah. We had our pictures taken at Picture People and then I had lunch with her at "California Pizza Kitchen." She sure made for a cheap date since her Mom brought her cut up veggies and noodles.

I am going to be a BIG BROTHER to a...

The Golden Arch

Mom was craving a Big Mac so we took a little trip to the Golden Arch. Don't worry, I didn't eat anything but her fries sure did look good. I had a GREAT time watching the patrons fill their sodas and the employees fill the ice machine.

Thanks for a fun date Mom since I know that Dad would NEVER take me there!

Happy Birthday Mom!

We treated Mom today for her birthday! I slept in until 8, then Dad and I made breakfast. We took the dogs hiking per Mom's request and stayed at home while she had a facial and a back treatment. We met Aunt Jen for dinner and had cake at home. Mom blew out all 32 candles in one shot!

Hiking with the fam

We are blessed in Austin to have a 3 mile hike with a creek that runs alongside it that is LEASH FREE! It is my favorite place in Austin and we finally made it today to hike with the hounds. Since Jack's arrival, they haven't gotten to expend their energy as much as necessary so it was a nice get-away for us all. Murph and Finn had a blast and have been snoozing since we got home. (What a great investment of time!)

Mount Finnegan

I can't believe the 'ol pooch let's me get away with this. Finn, I love ya buddy!

I'm 11 months old!

I almost don't believe what they are telling me! Time flies when you're having fun!

Look out Michael Phelps...

Thanks to my cousin Bret (see entry below), I successfully completed my first swim class, Starfish 1. I had a great time. I can float on my back and know just when Mom/Dad are going to pop me out of the water when we sing "Itsy Bitsy Spider," "Hokey Pokey," and "Pop Goes the Weasel." I can't wait for next summer when I can take "Starfish 2!" Look out everyone, I am becoming one big water baby!

An entry about my Starfish 1 Swim Class, Personal Trainer, Uncle Bret

Well, it has been a busy couple of days around the house. Uncle Bret (really my cousin but we call him Uncle Bret because that is just cooler!) came to town and I can't get enough of climbing on him, although I have to admit that watching T.V. with him is pretty fun.

The nicest thing about having Uncle Bret around is that he is helping me train for my Starfish 1 swimming class. We worked on upper body strength yesterday and this morning while I climbed all over him as though he were a jungle gym. However, after observing me at Starfish 1 training tonight Uncle Bret noticed that my right shoulder was getting a little stronger than my left causing me to pull right while swimming (he is explaining this to me in the pictures). This led to a nice shoulder massage (see pictures) as well as some lower body workouts using my exercise ball (again, see pictures).

Overall I think that physically I am prepared to dominate Starfish 1 training tomorrow and earn my patch, especially after having a high protein milkshake with Uncle Bret immediately upon finishing my training tonight! Also, on the mental side of things, Uncle Bret says that if I keep repeating the "Patch, Patch, Patch" mantra I should be in the perfect mental state come tomorrow at 6:40 p.m.

Okay that is it for tonight, I need to get a good night's rest and be ready to go tomorrow. I would say wish me luck but I am so confident in Uncle Bret's training regime that I don't even need luck!!
