Superman

It is the eve before Dan goes back to work and I have a heavy heart! The anticipation of the new baby and his being home for 2 1/2 weeks is rapidly winding to a close and the three of us (plus two canines) are going to miss him during the day! Where did the time go and what am I going to do without my other half? Since Kate's birth, Dan has fed the dogs, fed Jack, taken Jack to daycare, done countless loads of laundry, soothed a crying baby at 12, 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5 in the am (thank goodness not in the same night but sometimes it sure felt like it!), dealt with my changing post-pregnancy hormones, vacuumed, played in the backyard with the dogs and Jack, cooked, cleaned, and entertained Jack while I was busy feeding and taking care of Kate. In fact, Dan may find that returning to work tomorrow may be easier than being at home! We were so lucky to have this time together and I might just get pregnant again so we can spend 2 1/2 weeks together again (JUST KIDDING!). Thank you from the bottom of our hearts D for loving us and taking care of us, even when you were very tired too! Your reward is an appreciative wife and the admiration that Jack shows in his actions and face everytime you are with him! It's only a matter of time before Kate is rewarding you as well! Thanks for being our Superman!

Cutie Pa Tootie!

Mom says "I just want to eat you up" when I have these PJ's on.

Happy Birthday James!

My buddy James had his first birthday party today. It was a "Construction" themed party and I signed up for demolition. I had a great time in James' play area and walking around socializing with all the guests, kids and adults alike. I spent some time driving James' "BMW" car. It sure is a much smoother ride than Mom's '94 Corolla!

Where's Jack?

In the dryer of course. I was folding laundry and I guess this was his way of "helping."

Kinda like Golf but not really.

Jack LOVES our pooper scooper...Today he was using it like a golf club with Murphy's ball. It's amazing to us that Fisher-Price stays in business...Jack prefers anything BUT toys it seems!

A night out

Mom and Dad decided we all deserved a night out at "Ramos Restaurant" in Manor. Yum! I was the perfect guest...and enjoyed chips and bites of Mom's enchilada.

Another Bath? Come on people! I'm not dirty!

Fun at the Park

Having Dad home for 2 1/2 weeks is great! I have had so much fun with him...he let's Mom and Baby Kate sleep in while we have breakfast together. He is so goofy and Mom loves waking up to the noise of us being silly in the kitchen together. I don't want him to go back to work, Mom doesn't want him to either!

Hibernation

It's me, Kate. Hopefully I can stay awake long enough for these pictures to post...If you're wondering what I have been up to, sleeping is about it. (Except during the hours of about Midnight-2:00 am) Mom and Dad get a little frustrated but every night I seem to do a bit better. Continual napping is fantastic, I highly recommend it.

Bubbles in the Bath

Kate received a gift card to "Babies R Us" from her Great Aunt Leanne and Uncle Jim. Mom decided that I deserved a special treat with the gift card too and bought an automatic bubble blower for the bathtub. It's awesome!

Who is this? Is she really staying?

So...we aren't bringing her back? She's here for good? I don't know about this...And why do my parents keep saying "Gentle touch Jack, gentle touch"

My First Library Card!

After storytime at the library, we signed up for my own library card! I guess once you're a "Big Brother" and can assume all of the responsibilities that accompany such a title, you qualify for a library card too! I checked out two books and didn't pay a bit of attention when Mom and Dad read them to me before bed.
Mom was really happy to join me and Dad at storytime. She sat in the back with Baby Kate, laughing, as I paid no attention to the storie and puppets, but walked around saying "hi" to everyone and acting like I owned the place. I did LOVE the bubbles at the end though...
