Jack Song!

So, my friend Tracy finds EVERYTHING on the internet. Today, she sent me a link to a website that you can download kid's songs with your child's name in it...unbelievable. I don't know how she finds all this stuff but I sure am glad she shares! If you have a child, check this site out and see if they have your kids name!

A shout out!

Today's entry is a shout out to the two men that rock my world. Although nothing is perfect and even us Turpin's have our not-s0-good days, overall, I have got it good! So, today I express a HUGE "thank you" to Dan and Jack for treating me so well!
Jack's evident and over-pouring "Joie de vivre" melts my heart and watching Dan play/change/feed/be silly/read/listen to music/encourage to crawl/make silly faces/bathe/change poopy diapers/swim/take to the bookstore/swing/walk/blow bubbles is fantastic. Not to mention, the cleaning he does, taking care of the lawn, his tolerating me when I am tired (and let's be honest, even when I am not tired and STILL crabby)...the list goes on and on.
So, thank you D and Jack for making me one lucky lady!

A Day In The Life, Part 2

Bathtime, swinging with Dad, hiking with the dogs and watching a little tv with my Daddy...it's great being a baby!

Petting Zoo!

ShadowGlen (our neighborhood) had a petting zoo for the little kiddos. Jack and I had a great time, it was really funny watching him with the animals. Of course, he is a pro after being around Murph and Finn all the time. The animals made him laugh although you wouldn't know it from the photos!

Finally I met Uncle Scott!

One of Mom's nearest and dearest pals from college came to visit. She was so excited for me to meet Uncle Scott. We had a lot of fun together while he visited. He taught me the term "Retail Therapy" and taught me about ordering good food at a restaurant. It was so fun, I wish he were here more often! Thanks for sharing him Wes and Nikka!

Jack and the Hounds

Jack didn't know the power he held in his hands when Finn gave Jack his frisbee so he could throw it next. Finn waited very patiently for Jack to lick, suck, bite the frisbee before he barked. Finn's bark translated to "Come on! Throw the thing already!"

Happy Easter!

The Easter Bunny is almost due to arrive in 'ol Manor, Texas. Jack did his own hunt for eggs and decided that he could practice some stretching moves in his Easter Basket.
(Thanks Tracy for the picture idea!)

Two things we can't do without!

Today's blog entry is a tribute to the two things that make Jack's world go round right now...(besides Mom, Dad, Murph and Finn)

7 months old...

Mom has taken so many pictures of me, she can't find my 5 month picture, my 2 month or my 1 month. Keep looking Mom but please, feed me first!

Happy St. Patricks Day!

I went to Fado's Irish Pub on 4th Street to celebrate my 1st St. Patty's Day! Mom and Dad had Guinness, I chewed on a Guinness coaster. Dad said "That's as close as you are going to get to a Guinness for a long time!" I thought they called it the "Mothers Milk..." Some things I just don't understand but I guess that is what happens when you're only 7 months old! While we were at the bar, a guy in his late 20's asked Mom and Dad if he could take my picture because he thought I was so cute. Mom and Dad were flattered and said, "Of course you can!"

My first time on a swing!

Wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!

Sunday, A Day In The Life of Jack Turpin

After eating breakfast (rice cereal mixed with pears), we went to meet my friend, James Quance, at Hut's Hamburgers. Yum! We all went to Zilker Park and flew kites and rode the Zilker Zephyr. It was my first train ride and I really liked it!

3-2-1 "Backwards" Blast-Off!!!

I am working really hard on trying to crawl. Mom is taking a yoga class so she can do the "downward dog" as well as I do. Mom and Dad are busy around the house cleaning and organizing so I can't get into any trouble when I decide to really start moving!

Saturday, A Day In the LIfe of Jack Turpin!

For a little guy, I keep very busy. On Saturday, Mom and I did a 5K in Bastrop. Afterwards, I had my photo taken with the Easter Bunny. I went to Aunt Jen and Uncle Kris's house to play while Mom went to a movie. Later, we got dressed up and went to the "Domain" and had dinner at "NoRTH." We had a great time! Mom and Dad said they felt like real people again. I guess it has been a long time since they have been out and about!

Every morning I watch Baby Einstein and I love it!

There's a new sheriff in town!

Jack discovered his love for Red Hook Beer at the Rodeo! Yummy!
And the gun...well, we are in Texas.
(We were raffling off tickets to win the rifle for a youth scholarship fund. My favorite part, when people asked Dan specifics about the rifle and he tried to answer them...)

I love to be tickled!

Jack says, "My Uncle Kris showed my mom how I love to be tickled. Uncle Kris is so funny when he grabs my belly and makes silly noises at me. In this video, mom is tickling me but you should hear me when Uncle Kris does it!"

More of Me!

I am afraid to report that our little bubba is days away from crawling...any minute now, we will loose the luxury of putting Jack down and him staying there. In fact, we lost that several weeks ago when he started "scooching backwards." Jack has perfected the "downward dog" and it won't be long now before we are chasing after him. Go Jack Go! I guess the whole point of parenting is to help him be independent huh??? So stinkin' cute!
