My admirer
Apparently I had an admirer at the parade...this little girl couldn't get enough of me, her mother kept telling her, "Don't touch the baby!" We didn't mind...before she left, she even gave me a kiss! I thought that was pretty bold with Hannah right next to me!
Thanks for feeding me!
I swear Tracy must have thought she was at a zoo where you could feed the animals. Everytime she pulled something out for Hannah to eat, Jack was right there, standing at attention. It got to the point where he was even eating out of her hand. I promise we feed him! We do!!! Thanks Hannah for sharing!
Chuy's Holiday Parade
Chuy's Restaurant in Austin had their annual holiday parade today where they collected toys for Santa. My girlfriend, Hannah and her mom, Tracy, joined me and mom while Dad was at work. Mom said I did a fantastic job sitting on her lap, I got fussy only a few times and was quickly able to divert my attention elsewhere.

Thanksgiving Day
What a busy day! I enjoyed my first Turkey dinner so much, I started eating off the table like a suckerfish. Aunt Jen and Uncle Kris came over for dinner, what a relaxing day. I am very thankful for so many things...especially Dollar Tree mylar balloons, Murph and Finn, and family and friends that love me so much!

Baby Sister Update
Mom and Dad went to the doctor today and came back with a perfect report. Apparently, my sister is doing great in Mom's belly. They had to wait to see the nurse so the nurse treated them by doing an ultrasound. They found out that the baby is head down (perfect) and all measurements are perfect as well. Again, the nurse commented on her long legs! Mom says, "There's no doubt she has long legs, she is kicking all the time!" She weighs about 4 lb. 9 oz. right now and Mom's blood pressure was perfect. Only 7 more weeks!!!!

Santa in November?
Tonight we got to tell Santa what we wished for! He was a Jolly Old Saint Nick if we have ever seen one. So, the crying picutre...in all fairness...I don't think Jack would have minded Santa if we hadn't had him up way past his bedtime. Time will tell when we visit Santa again in ShadowGlen in a few weeks. It's a good thing he is coming to visit again because Jack didn't get to tell him that he wants a disco ball for Christmas!
Christmas Tree Lighting, Already?!
Wait a minute, did we miss Thanksgiving? Tonight, an upscale outdoor shopping mall in Austin had the Macy's Tree Lighting celebration, complete with fireworks, Santa and Jordin Sparks signing carols. We braved the crowds and the traffic to kick off the holidays, although it felt a bit strange because it isn't even December yet. Dan was in an especially good mood because the Cougars won the Apple Cup right before our departure (Yeah Cougs!). Jack wasn't quite sure what to think when the fireworks started but quickly got into it!
Books Books Books
Mom was thrilled today when she walked into my room and saw me pulling all the books off my shelf and looking through them. She has desperately tried to get me interested in reading so I made her even more happy tonight when she read a book to me and I actually sat and listened for about 1/4 of it! Dad keeps telling her, "With time honey!"

Barack and Jack
We had dinner with a friend tonight who told us that in a class she was taking, they were showing pictures of Obama with babies and the one with Jack was shown. She said to the class "I know that baby!" In fact, she knows Jack very well, as she was our doula! Anyways, we don't know who took the photo because we hadn't seen this one before. We googled it and sure enough, it was on the BBC. At least this one doesn't have me looking crazy in it!
P.S. It's amazing how much he has changed since February!

JACK DAY!
Today was dedicated to Jack! Dan and I thought of all the things our little bugger would love to do and did them all! We know it isn't long before his life changes quite drastically too so we thought it was only appropriate to enjoy "Just Jack" for a day. It's crazy to think, it will never be "Just Jack" in 7-8 short weeks. We spent most of the day outside or in water which is a recipe for success in J's book.
Our morning started at a fantastic park near our house. The dogs had fun too and as you can tell, are very protective of their little Jack as he played close by. We all took a nap after and then headed to a park in downtown Austin that had fabulous fountains spraying water. Jack had a blast, it was so fun to watch. (His poor diaper!) After, we went to Lifetime Fitness and went swimming. When we entered the pool area, Jack squealed in delight and wasted no time walking into the water. We ended the day at the Children's Museum where Jack ran around playing/touching with all the toys. After a snack of pumpkin bread, we read "Goodnight Moon" and called it a day! A wondeful day at that!!
Thanks so much Jack for making our lives wonderful over the past 15 months! We would trade our mornings sleeping in for the smile on your face anyday. Your joie de vivre, sense of humor, patience, and personality are amazing and we are so proud of you. We love you!
