Uncle Andrew and Aunt Erin Visit! Woo-Hoo!
Uncle Andrew and Aunt Erin visited us last weekend from Seattle. We were so happy to introduce them to their niece and Kate enjoyed all the snuggles with Andrew and Erin! As we expected, the visit went WAY TOO FAST! We showed them all of Jack's hot spots including the Children's Museum, the water sprayers and the cupcake stand. They were so patient with a very child-oriented weekend!
Thanks Andrew and Erin for being so fun to be with, for helping out with the kiddos and the canines and for loving us as much as we love you! We wish we weren't so far away from each other but know it makes the visits that much more special. Plus, if you guys lived here, I think we'd all be 500 pounds by the way we ate this weekend. I am just now able to zip my pants again! :)
Dinner with B-Mo!
I love my kids...
because they are goofy, so sweet, have the ability to drive me crazy and drive my heart wild at the same time and make my heart melt when they are fast asleep dreaming of what I can only hope are sweet sweet dreams! (It doesn't hurt either that they are both fabulous sleepers at night...knock on wood!)

Braces Saving Plan
Oh no...I think we have a thumb-sucker on our hands! Jack never sucked his thumb and I think Miss Kate is making up for it. Let's hope this habit doesn't last long or not only do we have college to save for but braces too! Regardless, I am sure her smile will continue to melt our hearts, thumb-sucking or not!

Bye Guys!
Grandma and Grandpa! It's me, Jack! Thanks so much for visiting me again, I was awfully jealous when I knew I would still be going to daycare while you were here but we got so much great time in together, it was no problem! Thanks for bringing me fun things to do, I loved making cookies and for keeping up with me. I can be pretty rambunctious at times as you saw! I enjoyed our "conversations" and look forward to seeing you in July! Can we go to the zoo again? Love, Jack!
A million thanks Grandma
I am not sure what a million is because I am only 3 months old but I think I owe it to you! Thank you for taking such good care of me while Mom and Dad were at work (and even when they got home!) I loved snuggling with you, the baths and massages you gave me and all the smiles we shared together. I sure was spoiled and am glad you quickly caught on that I hate being wet almost as much as I LOVE BEING CUDDLED! We shared quite a bit of time with me snuggled up to your arm and I hope my drool didn't ruin any of your shirts! :) If they did, I am pretty confident that you don't mind. I love you Grandma and hope you'll come back soon! Love, Kate
Our own little Easter Bunny!
Thanks Grandma and Grandpa!
We have been so spoiled at the Turpins! Grandma Venzke stayed for two weeks and Grandpa came for 4 nights. Where did the time go? We stayed very busy and we can't even express how thankful we were to have the help and the pleasure of "doing life" together. Thanks for all the great memories, planting a tree for Kate (literally and figuratively!) and for not hesitating to help out, love on the babies, take a very sick dog to the vet, and even give us a date night! When can you come back? We miss you already!!!
Go Cubs!
Hey Cupcake!
There is a wonderful place in Austin called "Hey Cupcake!" (free coupon on their website...buy one get one free). It is an airstreamer that makes the most delicious cupcakes. We stopped to treat ourselves and Jack was amazed at the true goodness found in something that fits in the palm of your hand...well, it's a bit bigger than that! Anyways...he had a death crip on my hand when I tried to pull it away so he would remember to breath between bites. That's my boy and if you're visiting us...count on a trip to enjoy one yourself.
3 months old!
Where does the time go? I can't believe that Kate is 3 months, it seems like just yesterday our only kids had four legs. Kate continues to be a fantastic baby, especially since she is sleeping up to 10 hours a night...amazing! Bless her little heart, she knows we all need our sleep. She's a little Chunky Monkey, hates being wet, loves to be part of the action and enjoys the colors chocolate brown and yellow.

YMCA Easter Egg Hunt
What a day! We went to the YMCA Easter Egg Hunt, they know how to do it! They had a petting zoo, a bouncer, the egg hunt (I found seven eggs), hot dogs, a playground...I couldn't get enough! And, after, we went swimming at Lifetime Fitness! Grandma was impressed by my swimming skills. I was in hog heaven today. However, I could have done without the Easter Bunny...he was scary and I didn't stay on his lap for more than a second!
